Really good episode although I wish shows would stop with the killing off the new love interest trope.

The parasite (which looked more like a bat than a bird to me) was cool.

Jed Whedon has confirmed that this season is taking place pre Thanos finger snap of doom

This season has been a bit of a letdown for me so far. Anything involving Mack and his crew is boring plus they are all incompetent. Mack is walking around frightening to make a mistake, Yo-Yo mysteriously is "not ready" and as a result her love interest dies.

They take no precautions when studying the alien bat and even make "Alien" references and proceed to take the same stupid actions the people did in some of those movies. Was that intentional? Dr. Benson is sulking and confused and awestruck, yea we get it you're in over your head well get your #### together. And somehow Mack was completely unaware of what Deke was up to even though he had an undercover in Deke's company.

Anything involving Daisy, Fitz, Simmons and Enoch is great.

Yeah the split story lines have been a little confusing, though having Clark Gregg playing the bad a%% killer has been great.

But Mack hasn't been a good leader, and we get the doctor is way over his head and making mistakes.

I'm a little dissapointed in YoYo, she was so good in the Coulson dying arc last year. Its been a little disjointed. I enjoyed the Deke episode a lot, I was hoping for more of his girlfriend.

That's a damn good theory I hope the writers go with something along those lines. The arm thing I guess they could cheap out and say he has a synthetic it just looks real.

That doesn't make sense. Overall they have been tracking the same timeline as the movies. Last season they hinted about Thanos attacking and this season is supposed to be one year later as Daisy and co have been hunting Fitz for a year. I was thinking it was some split timeline thing after their time travel adventures.

Kind of sad, but I don't mind a show going out when it's really good rather than watching it descend into terribleness.

I must say, Ming-Na Wen's fight scenes are among my favourites ever. Especially when she fought the Hydra agent wearing her face. That fight was epic.

Remember the first few season 1 episodes? They were downright awful plus I thought the cast was terrible. How wrong I was this is easily one of the best shows on TV.

My thoughts on that

Season 1 started really slow - They had a tough time with establishing characters, and I thought Grant Ward is so boring. That season turned on a dime with the phrase "Out of the darkness and into the light Hail Hydra". The betrayal was so well done, and the execution of Victoria Hand was jarring. Suddenly the characters popped into their roles. Bill Paxton was awesome. The last half of that season was great

Season 2 - The inhuman war was decent, but it felt a little sluggish compared to the second half of season one. But it was still good, the main theme was around Skye changing to Daisy. The villains were ok, but not as devious. But still good.

Season 3 - the Hive season. I liked this season because it it bought back Grant Ward, and then made him a god. The ending of Hive was actually really well done and sad. I thought it was pretty strong, as well. And it closed off the Hydra threat

Season 4 - The frame work, Aida, evil Fitz. This season was outright awesome, and probably the best season of the series. a whole ton of heartbreak in it as well.

Season 5 - I did like this season and it was really good, but season 4 over shadowed it, plus we got the weirdness of Shield in space which I think was done due to a cut in the effects budget which allowed them to use confined spaces and sets. I still felt bad for Talbot who became a villain because he thought he could fix things.

Season 6 - The juries out, but so far I've really thought it was strong and the character interaction has been great. Plus Coulson/Sarge is awesome.
