It sounds like he turned a few teams away. Was only going to sign with a specific set of teams

What is interesting, is that is not why he called him. Here is Corrente's quote:

Quote:
It has nothing to do with the rule of full-body weight [landing on the quarterback]. It has nothing to do with helmet-to-helmet. He picked the quarterback up and drove him into the ground.
https://packerswire.usatoday.com/201...clay-matthews/
He also doubled down when was asked what Matthews could have done differently his answer was "don't drive him into the ground".

Bizarre interpretation, and beyond that the NFL has now said they plan to use the Matthews and Kendriks hits as coaching moments of a technique that is not allowed. So the NFL has backed up their official and decided that the Matthews hit is a penalty and will be called as such.

The closed the catch controversy to only open up this one. This is going to get very messy for the NFL.

First two plays on defence, 20 yards of penalties.

I am prepared to be irritated.

2 good opening drives in 2 games... just hope Nagy doesn't run out of plays and can find some consistency

It really is unforgiveable for Seattle to have this bad an offensive line for this long. It's literally the one area they need to ensure they're solid in order to have an offense with Wilson. That's it. Give him some time and it pretty much doesn't matter what else you have. Mack's good, but you don't have to make him look like the greatest pass rusher in NFL history.

Von Miller doesnt know what else Matthews was supposed to do either.

There is no way that is a penalty....or else we aren't watching or playing football any longer.

Truly losing interest in the game all together.

The new OC in Seattle doesnt seem to know that Wilson can run. Making him throw from the pocket with that oline is ridiculous. Scrambling Wilson is the best Wilson.

Now they are just flat out lying.

The cover up is always worse than the crime.

He's been in the league long enough to know he can run whenever he wants.

Problem is he's starting to think (actually not starting, it's been the case for a few years, and giving him Grudens QB show is a mistake) that's he is smarter than everyone else on offense, defense and the coaching staff, in trying to make plays and letting things play out.

He's holding into the ball way too long.

And he can think twice about the money he asks in the next contract if it means a lesser o line.

Lynch bailed him out on offense for years, and the all world defense they also had gave him his chances. Now he's got no running game and a defense that is ok but not dominant.

He had to have the threat of a run to keep defenses honest. He also can't play hero every play he has to step out of the pocket, or its collapsing...get the ball away.

I don't really think he does need a good RB to create that threat, he just needs enough time for optiona to develop. You can't get creative or get out of the pocket when the world is constantly collapsing in on you. There's no time for receivers to make a second move or get downfield, so he doesn't have that threat very often either.

A successful Wilson offense is one where three or four things could happen on any play. With their offensive line those possibilities never develop.

There are a lot of awful teams in the NFL this year. Seattle should probably have a winless season this year though. But they do have two easy games against Arizona so maybe they can pull off one win this season.

Seattle deserve no quarter for their performance (last TD notwithstanding) but these commentators are absolutely pathetic Bears homers.

Well the one guy on the fid was proclaiming Mack a HOF last week when talking about this game.

And both him and Witten are chastising that whole Seattle drive saying they need to be more urgent when they are moving the ball decently for the first time, but more importantly there was 13 mins left.

They are both over dramatic. Wonder if that's part of the shtick to make MNF more cutting edge but they sound pathetic in understanding the game.
