Still a bit worried about Smith starting this one. But he did play well the other night, so let's see if he can actually string two solid performances in a row. If he craps the bed, then obviously we'll just have to ride Rittich as much as possible for the stretch drive and playoffs.

Part of me still thinks the Lazar call up is a bit of a final appreciation from the organization and/or having him up with the big club makes him more availabe for a trade. Yes they need a backup player in town on the road in case someone else past Neal gets hurt, but could’ve called up anyone.

Or it’s just his turn, like Quine had his turn,Rychel and Dube had theirs.
