Parents bought one about 5 years ago with the intent to flip. Turned into a disaster. Ripped out all insulation and drywall. Passed every test they could think of. Nothing mattered, there is no process that says "this house has been remediated".
Getting insurance and a mortgage was huge problem. Ended up selling to a guy at a big discount for cash.
If you want to live there, you can do okay but I wouldn't recommend trying to flip it.
