First episode was great, really enjoyed Lady Mormont's character.
I don't understand though why they filmed this in Calgary where they had to build this whole post apocalyptic disgustingly dirty world where everyone is miserable and feels trapped and is super unhygienic, when just a few hours north it already exists!
Just grab some stock footage of Whyte Ave after an Oilers game and be done with it.
Because then they'd have to be in Edmonton.

That was really fantastic. I'm fine with all of the casting and all of the changes and whatever, it was just a good first episode of a good TV show.
Also I hadn't really looked into anything before watching it so aside from Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey I had no idea who was cast. I was not prepared for Olivia Dunham to show up on my screen... Those FEDRA agents don't stand much of a chance I'm afraid.

On my phone shortly after 7 I switch between tabs on the crave app, and it shows up, usually a couple minutes after 7. If you just leave it on the main page I find it doesn't update.
Is that new for Crave? Or in other words, am I going to have to have my #### together by 7pm for the next 10 Sundays?
HBO's premiering new episodes simultaneously throughout North America so the western part gets to see it at an earlier local time.
And found it interesting that they went against new TV show trend (especially for a big drama on a prestige network) to use movie-like narrow aspect ratios and instead used 16:9.
I couldn't find the show on Crave until landing on the 'live' option at about 7:20. Then noticed it was on demand at about 8:30

Crave does a TERRIBLE job of recommending new shows.
And because of that, when you watch a show, it basically disappears because, hey, you've watched it, so it displays different shows you've never watched.

Really enjoyed the first episode! Only thought about it being filmed in Calgary and area for maybe a minute or two before the show just pushed me into the story. Great so far.

Yeah I watched it at about midnight last night, and really expected it to be on the home screen, or at least the home screen within the HBO section. Nope, had to search for it.
