Jankowski looks like he's on the #Flames top PP unit. Gulutzan having a chat with the young fella right now.
Trying Janko in Versteeg's spot once again.

With Janko's release, there could be something there!

Honestly, I would rather see them building the 2nd unit around him, Bennett and Jagr.
Keep Backlund and Frolik for the PK.
2nd unit:
Tkachuk
Bennett - Jankowski - Jagr
Giordano (or Hamilton, or Stone)

So Stone and his shot will continue to be left off the PP?
Not a fan of that.

The thing about McDavid is no matter what he's probably going to get a point or two, he's just that good. I think the Flames offense has to be firing on all cylinders tonight. If we can get four or five goals we'll win.

Kick them while they're down!
So looking forward to the Flames blowing the Oilers out and getting to see all the sad fans at the Dome.

Gulutzan has matched Brodie against him - obviously due to Brodie's skating ability. But it has been a disaster.
Gulutzan needs to make an adjustment and put Giordano up against him. Hell, maybe you go with Brodano against him. But something different needs to be done.

McDavid notwithstanding, the Oilers are otherwise a pretty slow team. I would like to see our best speed lineup tonight - get Lazar in for Stajan, and of course Kulak on the point:
Gaudreau - Monahan - Ferland
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Bennett - Jankowski - Jagr
Hathaway - Lazar - Brouwer
Giordano - Hamilton
Brodie - Stone
Kulak - Hamonic
is how I would run it.

Or how about:
Giordano - Hamonic
Brodie - Stone
Kulak - Hamilton
?

Putting Jankowski there seems to be a stretch to me.
Brodie/Hamilton
Giordano/stone
Or some combination of those 4?
Anyways, flames haven't beat the oilers in over a season. That's way too long. Take care of business against a lesser opponent tonight and move on.

McDavid has been held pointless in 4 of his last 10 games. The legend of his greatness is too often greatly exaggerated.

But he's averaging over a point per game this season. How is that an exaggeration?

Anymore than Versteeg? Jankowski has really good vision and a great shot. It's worth a try
