Just a lovely start. Reyes out, Dickey getting lit up. Pretty typical trip to TB so far.

I think you have to pay to listen online, like 2.99 a month or something like that. Think it come with a few extra features on the MLB app but I'm not sure.

Why is Thole not given the bunt sign? 0 outs and runners on 1st and 2nd against a pitcher that is dominating?
Then predictably he GIDPs. Nice

Honestly they should just send him out there without a bat and hope he's walked every at bat.

Because Goins is hitting behind him, and they need more then one run to win this game.

You've gotta start chipping away and Goins is much better than Thole. It's just basic strategy. Then you get two shots at a 2 run single and avoid the double play. Easy call, Gibbons sucks.

It's giving away an out. The Jays might not get another chance to score runs against a pitcher of Price's quality. Go big or go home.

That's why i think the opposite. Keep the game as close as you can while Price is out there and then try to jump on the pen.
Any other hitter than Thole and I might see what your saying, but putting a bat in his hands is essentially giving up an out anyways. And the chance of two outs, which happened here.

I think the overriding question should be why is the team wasting a roster spot on Thole all together. It creates a black hole at the bottom of the lineup every time Dickey starts, however it pretty much a black hole for the other games too.

Goins is just as bad. I don't see the point of giving up an out to set the table for Goins. I'd rather let them both swing with the hopes that one can get on and give Melky a chance with runners on. Banking on Goins getting a hit is a pretty low percentage play, and also kills off the chance of a big rally by giving up the out.

Dickey made it really really easy for the Rays today. 6 walks and no command of the strike zone, plus wild pitches, and I don't care who the opponent is you will never win a game pitching that way.

At least Toronto has the Raptors...? I mean seriously who in the hell thought that would ever actually be a legit comment?
