Pre-ordered Smash on Amazon, not realizing it wasn't eligible for release day delivery. Sure, I saved $10. But no Smash until Wednesday is too high a consequence.

Does anyone know how to play with the Joy-cons? I have them separated from the actual Switch but I can't use them separate for two player. In the character selection screen I try and change it and there's an icon telling me to press buttons on the Joy cons but nothing seems to enable them in horizontal mode.

If you go to the home screen, you set up your controllers as horizontal from there. See if that works for you?

These had been sold out in Calgary for a while, but I kept checking EB games store availability every day, and managed to get one last week. Apparently, someone had returned one to the store as being defective, and Nintendo sent that store 2 copies instead of just the replacement one.

Any rumours about Switch deals for Boxing Day? Should they be better than the Black Friday bundles or just this $30 gift card deals that have been circulating recently. Would be nice to get the console and a game.

I saw in the Best Buy Boxing Week flyer they're doing Switch bundled with Super Mario Party for $379 -- so you're getting the game for free.

I read on the RedFlagDeals forum that the Shoppers Drug Mart 20x points is probably one of the better deals if you can figure out when they have that. Is Super Mario Party any good though? It wasn't one of the games we were thinking of getting off the bat - hoping for Mario Kart or Smash Bros.

Best bet may be trying to get this bundle at Shoppers Drug Mart over the weekend.

They have the Mario Party Bundle in their flyer, and it's also 20x the points this weekend (special offer via the app) - which is about $110 back in points.
