It looks like the Chicago defenceman, Joey Keane, gives him a pretty good whack on the leg after the goal.
Keane got a slashing penalty and 10 minute misconduct at the end of the game. Should be a suspension coming too if the AHL has any real concern for player safety. Completely unnecessary BS.

Complete and utter bull**** that Stockton didn't win that game earlier in overtime when Alex Lyon gave it away to Kirkland with a wide open net.
Lyon THREW HIS STICK to knock the puck away from Kirkland. No call.

Section 53.7 of the AHL rulebook says it should've been a penalty shot.
53.8 says a goal is only awarded if the goalie has already been pulled for an extra attacker.
