Was flipping through guide and saw The Old Man on the guide and thought what the heck is this show(it was ep 3). Turned it on for a bit and immediately saw Lithgow and Bridges and was like oh this might be a good show. Read a couple reviews and was like yep sounds like my kind of show. Definitely into it now.
I did come here to post about it and saw people already talking about it
Was good, in that Rowan Atkinson kinda way. Was wondering how exactly this was going to be stretched over a season of episodes... until the first episode ended 10 mins after it started...
Binging the season is about the same as watching a movie.
It seems like I'm the only one banging this drum, but "For All Mankind" is absolutely fantastic.
I really enjoyed season 1, just haven't been able to justify to myself paying for another subscription service right now. Maybe when I finish a few other shows I'll cancel one of the other services and subscribe to Apple TV for a couple of months.

I find that it is common now a days to scrutinize and downsize streaming. I'm someone who started ditching services. There was a period where everyone grabbed every new service because of a show or two and the fact that it felt like a small payment, but then people started talking about actual value and how much you're paying per year in total.
I mean I was at $60 a month/$720 a year for streaming (prime, apple, netflix, crave/HBO) and I'm home so little and watch like maybe 3 hours of non sports TV a week if I'm lucky.
So yeah, I actually liked "for all mankind", but determined Apple was a service that I barely opened up, so off it went.
Just finished up the Lincoln lawyer on Netflix. The wife and I really enjoyed it.
Season 4 of ozark was mentioned above. I think that is where we quit watching it as there was an episode where 4 of so folks were killed and it just seemed stupid

Under the Banner of Heaven in Disney+- Shot around Alberta last year (I think)
Great story, beautifully shot and well acted by a great cast-I recommend highly, unless you are LDS- I think they have 4 of the 7 episodes so far
Its a fantastic show, I really enjoyed it, but man oh man does it get dark.
Maybe an LDS person wouldnt like it as there are many times its heavily critical of Mormons and LDS in particular, but I think it does tend to focus more on extremism and systemic corruption and lies within the organization.
