Mayza has a filthy slider when he can locate it.
Uses it to K the side. Just dominant.

Congrats Borucki. Composed the entire game.
Gotta think the Rotation is looking something like this next season. (6 guys to fill the 5 man rotation).
Sanchez
Borucki
Stroman
SRF
Pannone
Vet UFA
Think they would bring in a good Vet UFA to Mentor what would be one of the youngest rotations in basball. Even overpay to keep the term to no more then 2 years. Gaviglio seems to be falling behind Borucki, Pannone and SRF.

Borucki seems like a good 5th starter on most competitive teams. Sadly, the Jays aren't competitive so it looks like he is a 3rd starter (hopefully Stroman can figure out what the heck is going on with him).

I dont Think anyone expects the Jays to be competetive next season so I think they may as well start the young guys and maybe 1 of SRF, Burocki or Panone turn out to be legit top 3 starters. Also have Pearson likely 2 years away. I'm hoping its a matter of time before Sanchez is Ace caliber again and if Syroman can come around things arent looking too bad on the rotation. i realize a lot has to go right though.
its about trying to time things so it all comes together at the right time. We'll just have to be patient and hope Atkins and Shapiro dont completely F it up.

Don't forget Julian Merryweather and David Paulino who will both be likely to get some MLB starts next season.
Then there is Jon Harris, TJ Zeuch and Hector Perez who will be pushing for AAA starts. Merryweather and Perez are especially intriguing because they have live arms and stuff that can miss bats.
Sanchez
Stroman
Borucki
Pannone
Reid-Foley
Gaviglio
Merryweather
Paulino
Zeuch
Harris
Perez
Starting to accumulate some intriguing arms and depth. Very likely they bring in a veteran MLB starter or two and let the youth battle for a couple bottom rotation spots while the rest percolate in AAA and AA.
Pearson and Pardhino also on the way.

Eric Pardinho is someone I am really excited about. He is only 17 but put up some sick numbers in Bluefield.

I really hope the Jays find a new home for Pillar this off season.
I think Grichuk can handle CF well enough, and with McKinney, Hernandez, Alford, Travis, Gurriel, Smith Jr, Ramirez, Biggio, etc I think they can field a decent enough outfield.
I can't stand watching Pillar bat anymore, and his defense is steadily declining as well.
Time to move on.

Loving Jose Fernandez sneaking in there as a potential solid lefty bullpen option. Between him and Mayza the future of the Jays lefty bullpen arms is looking pretty good right now.

Tampa Bay is a well built team. Good to great pitching. They don't hit a lot of home runs but they generate their offense through working the count, actually hitting singles(something the Jays are brutal at), they have great speed along the basepaths, they steal bases and they are EXCELLENT at getting on base.
They are literally the complete opposite of the Blue Jays.

Well...this game just might've gone from an ass Blue Jay game (as per their usual) to a classic Blue Jay game.

That's awesome. I hate thd Rays. So nice to take a dramatic dump on their playoff hopes.
Pisses me off so much that they have 85 wins. Annoying buggers.

I don’t like trolling the Jays thread but if Rays closed that game would have had to go 9-1 And Oakland to go 3-7. We blew our chances blowing a late lead to Oakland last week. But if it helps you sleep at night you can absolutely think you ruined their playoff hopes.

Well get use to that garbage team beating you every year. Top 5 farm system in baseball no payroll obligations and all the kids can play ball and have won at every level together.
But I’m sure vladdy will save your dumpster fire. Maybe next year you will live up to expectations.
