Denis downs him 7-6, 4-6, 6-0 to move on to another match tomorrow morning against Klizan where he is heavily favored and is looking primed for a finals berth.

Shots like this lead me to believe he is turning a corner in a big way. Amazing restraint on the forehand that set up a textbook winner down the line. A few weeks ago he probably over hits that forehand wide by 2 feet.

Yeah, that last set today was one of the cleanest I have seen Shapo play. It was great to see him coming to net as often as he did as well. If he can get by Klizan, he'll play the winner of Dzumhur and Wawrinka.

Shapo should be kicking himself, serving for the match against Klizan leading 5-4 and just plays a terrible game, Klizan then proceeds to win set 2 7-5 and takes the match in the third winning that set 6-3. At one point Klizan won seven straight games as he was down 3-5 in set 2 and raced out to a 3-0 lead in the deciding set.

Laver Cup is the only event I cheer for team Europe over the World. There just so stacked and 3 of their top players aren't even playing for them.

Tough to see after being so good the previous two matches. Lengthy lapses like this continue to kill Denis and his chances of moving up the rankings. This was a highly winnable match.

Rebecca Marino is into tomorrow's final at the ITF event in Lubbock, Texas (I think this is either her 5th or 6th ITF final appearance this season).

Team Europe at one point yesterday had a 7-1 lead over Team World. After the first Sunday doubles match, Team World now leads 8-7.

Europe takes home the Laver Cup again as Zverev beats Anderson to give Europe a 13-8 lead (first team to 13 points wins). It's too bad that the last match between Joker and Kyrgios is an exhibition match.

Lots of Canadian action this week as Felix snagged the highly sought after lucky loser spot in the Chengdu 250 this week. A very winnable match as he is facing a wild card entry.
Vasek also in action in Chendu and Denis is playing in the Shenzen 250.

The boys go 3/3 with Vasek, Felix and Denis all picking up wins and moving on to winnable second round matches.
Felix is in the toughest playing Chung, but considering the Korean hasn't played much and has had a ho-hum summer, it is winnable for sure.
