Coaches have a lot of work to do. I'll reserve judgement on the PP since they haven't had many practices or even a training camp yet so I have faith, but yeah that game looked a little Gulutzan ish at times
I don't even care. It's a preseason game in China. If they look like crap in their last two preseason games I will be somewhat worried about another slow start but I don't think you can take much from these China games.

Fun to watch. More so to see the new players and how the core is shaping up.
Couldnt expect much systems perfection with two games and two practices. And all on international ice at that.
My take aways from this China group:
Monahan is going to pot 40. Lindholm is the #1 RW
Bennett and Janko need to be unchained from hathaway and get a Czaarnik or Neal there.
Hanifin is going to be stellar.
Brodano look stable.
Gaudreau is Gaudreau
Ryans imprtant depth who will help bottom end point production.
none of todays 4th line earned any leeway in earning a spot. Dillon Dube along with Czarnik are going to be nice additions if no one else steps up.
Rasmus Andersson needs more ice time.

That was not a great effort overall. It looks like an exhausted team.
I’m glad Ryan looks okay. He’s probably gonna need some work on that back though. That was a pretty brutal cross check right near the boards.
Andersson was a bright spot for me. I think Andersson deserves a long look at 3rd RHD. I doubt he gets it though. As bad as Stone was last season, putting a $3.5M defencemen in the press box would mean eroding any trade value he has left. I would love it if the Flames could trade Stone.
