Hoping Summer does well...incredible that she's 14 and in an Olympic final event

Bright future ahead of her regardless of how she does

14-year old phenom Summer McIntosh with a great 4th place effort in the Women's 400M Freestyle.

Was 3rd throughout the entire race but juuuust lost her stamina near the end.

Damn...so close...just ran out of gas that last 100m... Still she's only going to get bigger and stronger next time.

4th at the Olympics at 14 is a fantastic result

She should get prescription goggles.

There's a lot of loose change on the bottom of the pool.

Great story on Summer McIntosh...she's gone through a lot the last year, which makes her performance even more impressive...I think this is her first international event even... the picture with Oleksiak is crazy that was in 2016!

A bit dated, but cool background story on Maggie MacNeil's journey from London, Ont to University of Michigan (who are churning out more than Hockey Players)...Michael Woods, who finished 5th in the Olympic Road Cycling Race was a UofM track athlete...

Is this pool fast? They seem to be all over the world/Olympic records.

Damn, Canadian Men 4x100 F came close too... finishing 4th. The Aussies came on in the last 20m it looked like...

Great result, even though they didn't get a medal, new Canadian record

Canada's men's team finish 4th in the Men's 4 x 100M Freestyle Relay.

Were in 3rd but fell off in the final 25M.

Great result though. Just don't have the same firepower as the women

both of the 4th place swims by Canada so far have been so great. that relay was fantastic- that was a tough ask against the Aussie 4th leg
