looks good! I hadn't noticed it on the other cars, but it looks like they've all redesigned the front suspension to open up the air path. AM looks to have gone farthest with this concept, with the raised horns.

Spoiler!

Yeah, that is a funky suspension. I'm assuming your talking about the horns being the upper wishbone upright connection and not the vertical end plate that I think is part of the barge boards? Not sure what those 2 other pieces do on the chassis (by the pullrod).

Also a strange bulb style connection to the upright for the pullrod...would think they could clean that up.

The entire suspension looks lifted to maximise clean air to the floor and side pods. The lower wish bone looks like its almost at the wheel centre line on the AM and you can clearly see how much space is there compared to the Ferrari.

It's also a launch car. F1 teams tend to do odd #### to throw off other teams

I like the touch of pink, I was worried they'd over-do it but that looks nice

Alrighty!!! We're about 3 weeks away from Bahrain GP and 1 week from testing.

Here are the details for the pool...I was thinking we could keep the rules the same and then change them next year when the regs change

- Picks due FRIDAY midnight Calgary time. All picks must be submitted before qualifying and this is just an easy cut off. If your picks get posted Sunday morning at 5am...no bueno.
- Everyone gets 2 missed race weekends. After that you'll get NO ENTRIES for the rest of the missed races. The missed race picks will be the picks from the week before. If you miss 3 race weekends...no bueno.
- 1 point for right pick in top 10, 4 points for correct slot, 1 extra point for correct slotted driver who gets fastest lap.

Prizes...last 2 years almost everyone chipped in $10 and we got some Villeneuve swag for Latifi + Stroll. Happy to do it again this year...open to ideas/theme. I'll aim for 3 prizes again. And I'm sold out of Lauda hats.
- Most Total Points...Overall Champ...Trophy & first pick of prizes
- Second Most Total Points...second prize choice
- Most Correct picks...last choice

We may even have carryover prizes if Jayswin and Agulati dont pick up there 2020 prizes

So...if you send $10 I'll aggregate it all and see what I can get. Everyone who pays has a chance to win. No pay, no prizes...but you can still be champion. Email: Mullen1989@hotmail.com with your CP handle.

Side bets: @Jayswin...Stroll finishes 8th or worse, $20...@anyone, Perez finishes within 26pts (1 race win) of Verstappen. $20

Hopefully that works for everyone...I'm stoked for the season!!

It looks like a generic livery you can choose in F1 2020

Love it. Hamilton will be even more free to complain, given they aren't Mercs anymore. "What is this slow POS in front of me? Can't they build a faster car?"

This is on point from the comments section on a Jalopnik story:

I can think of nothing more apt and ironic these days than an American team being bought and paid for by the Russians while they install a puppet driver that also enjoys grabbing women but suffers no consequences.
Apparently HAAS spent zero development tokens, so the car is pretty much what they did so astoundingly well with last year. I wouldn't be putting them in your top 10...Why are you even in F1 if you aren't trying? Is HAAS just a Russian money laundering scheme at this point?

From all the f1 stuff I've been reading I believe HAAS has always planned to write this season off and concentrate all their efforts into the 2022 car. The idea is they go as the Ferrari engine goes this year. If the Powerplant has recouped from last season then they're happy. That wasn't the 21 car either it was a readied 20. They still have to do all the regulatory changes to this year's car.

That's one way for a red car to lead the race.

And probably the only way.
