Jeopardy will never be the same without Alex. Sure it will go on, but it has lost a major component of what made it so great. Whoever they pick will never live up to the legacy of Alex. I have personally not watched a single episode since Alex passed and I doubt I will moving forward. I have no interest in the Big Bang girl as host, terrible actress.

Pretty much agree with the above. I gave it a go with most of the guest hosts but it just isn't the same. Maybe I'll come back when they get a permanent host but Bialik still being involved isn't helping either. Especially sucks with the current run Amodio is having.

agree to the first part about Jeopardy never being the same without Alex and it will never have the same cachet.

but for Malik, I don't think her acting ability matters when it comes to hosting the show.

We'll see. I'm sure Alex was no great shakes as a game show host when he first started, either. let's see how she and Jennings do, especially after this soap opera settles down.

I haven’t watched it either. It just felt too weird.

Art Fleming hosted Jeopardy from 1964-1975.

Poland? How did he get that one wrong?

I'm glad he lost, Matt had no personality.

That was odd. The whole game was odd. Like he was told to lose

He didn’t get any daily doubles which is a common element when these super players lose

Maybe he can’t stand blossom and wanted off the show. I completely understand.

Jeopardy is so much better with Jennings as host.

I’ve often wondered if they make questions harder as a streak continues. I track my own scores (nerd I know) and each time someone goes on a run my scores start to trend down consistently. Once the long running champ is defeated they rebound pretty immediately

It wouldn't surprise me. Although I have found the questions harder since Alex has passed.

The other thing is contestants now start at the bottom and work up jumping across the board.

I generally don't pay attention or really register what the category is, so I like when they stay in the same category.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me if they get harder as a streak goes on. I'm constantly amazed at how they consistently gauge the level of difficulty of questions. I host a local trivia night once a month, and my sweet mother Mary and Moses it's hard to gauge how hard a question is.

Wouldn't making the questions harder favor a top player even more?

Good point, by making the questions harder you really need to hope that the top player is unfamiliar with the category. The game makers would be better off making the questions easier in hopes that the other players are controlling the board when the Daily Doubles are found.

Perhaps they want the streaks (while I don't like long streaks, it likely does well with the ratings as the US market LOVES a when Goliath destroys everyone, and after a good and LOOOOOOOOONG run then David can get lucky).

Amy Schneider is really good at Jeopardy. So consistent, and is already 4th all-time in regular season winnings.

Lots of really good champions this season

She's killing it, but oddly it seems going into Double Jeopardy it's anybody game.

It's Double Jeopardy where she just takes out a little ole can of Whoop Arse, slowly opens it up, gives two middle fingers to the other contestants, kicks them in the stomach and delivers the Stone Cold Stunner.

And does it so effortlessly, and non-dominearing that it's not until 3/4 of the way through the round that I realize she has 3x the money of the others as the other contestants do ring in with correct answers, and she's not always buzzing in the moment she can like Matt Amodeo and James Holtzhauer did.

This thread got bumped, and yet no one mentioned that there was a clue on last night's show about the Flames?
In 2021 the shortened NHL season had an all-Canadian North Division with 7 teams, including Edmonton & this other Albertan one.
