Alan Lancaster, bass player and founding member of Status Quo passed at age 72.

I never actually heard of this band until recently but they're quite popular I guess and sound okay to me, kind of like Cheap Trick maybe.

The Jazz Butcher (Pat Fish) has died

https://www.brooklynvegan.com/the-ja...fish-has-died/

Quote:
Born Patrick Huntrods in 1957, Pat Fish put out records under variations of The Jazz Butcher name since the mid-’80s, making droll, often heartfelt VU-inspired guitar pop with a rotating cast of friends, including Bauhaus/Love & Rockets bassist David J, members of The Woodentops, Spacemen 3’s Sonic Boom, and Eider. In North America, records like Bloody Nonsense and Distressed Gentlefolk were college radio staples, and following those he released a series of terrific albums for Creation Records from 1988 though 1995.

Man, I just found out about this... I feel like this didn't get enough attention. One of the great pop singers of the 20th century.

This one hits hard. Gonna have to do a marathon rewatch this weekend.

https://www.castanet.net/news/World/...r-Winter-at-16

Quote:
the “Dolphin Tale” movie star with a prosthetic tail...died this week at 16.
Quote:
“It's not just a dolphin, it's a special dolphin,”
Quote:
“Winter was an extraordinary creature. She inspired millions of people all over the world with her courage, her fortitude and her joy,” said Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, producers of the 2011 film “Dolphin Tale” that told the story of Winter's recovery from an amputated tail — it had been entangled in a crab trap rope, cutting circulation — through unprecedented use of a prosthetic one.

“She may no longer be with us in body, but her indominable spirit will continue on throgh the lives of all those that she touched,” said a statement from the two producers, who run Alcon Entertaintment.
Quote:
A memorial service is set for Nov. 20 to honor Winter.

Gonna hug my cat a little tighter when I tuck her in tonight.

So he went up to the great basketball court in the sky.

I'm still convinced that the father lost his temper over Chuck's eating habits and murdered him and buried him in the backyard and told everyone that he had enlisted.

Virgil Abloh died today at only 41, after a battle with cancer.

Founder of the fashion brand Off White and creative director at Louis Vuitton, he was very influential in the world of men's fashion, streetwear and design culture in general.
Cancer sucks.
