Default Getting The Most Of Your Home Renovations

Just came across this document that I had in a pile on my desk. Thought it might be useful to some of you!

All prices and value contributions are based on an average 1200 sq ft bungalow with a full basement and a 6000sq ft lot. All cost ranges include installation are based on average or better quality materials and services.

It is safe for work (despite tags) but quite long as it is 5 scanned pages. Can someone tell me what the tag is to hide it without using NSFW?

NSFW!

Interesting, thanks for posting that.

Some of those renos are a bit risky if you're doing them with an eye to selling. An accessible tub is only an amenity someone will pay for if they want it, and an outdoor pond will be a safety issue for as many people (with little kids) as it will be an amenity for. Kitchens, baths, and flooring are what I would say make sense, which squares with the report. Interesting to see it broken down like that.

Although if people really do pay $50-$75 per square foot for basement development, I should probably quit my job and become a general contractor...

Yea, i never noticed that before. Just updated that is is based on a 1200 sq ft bungalow with average or above average construction. Either way, you would think that 40k would get you a pretty sweet basement with all sorts of bells and whistles.
