The P in Calgarypuck logo secretly stands for Pizza.

There is, perhaps, no other North American "junk" food I love more than pizza.
I love pizza.
I love pizza.
... I love pizza.

I love pizza as well and one of my favorite indulgences is a thick, greasy, deep dish pizza with meat and cheese piled on thick. If only there were some excellent deep dish options in Calgary.

The deep dish at Bensonhurst is relatively authentic, but it's also quite overpriced even for Calgary.

I'm a thin crust guy. Less caloric guilt. Plus it's fun to fold.

I walked past there pretty much everyday when we lived in the inner city but that place must have opened up shortly after we moved. Right now my go to for a deep dish like pizza is Varsity Pizza.

I'm sure everyone has their fav's and their own hole-in-the-wall...but if you are remotely close to Douglasdale, you need to check out Jon's Pizza near the golf course. There regular pizzas are amazing but their deep dish is one of the best I've had. Really good....small shop and they usually disconnect their phones when they're busy but definitely worth the hassle.

Yea Pizza is just the best, no way around it. Verns thin crust, Dominos if I am drunk, or home made if I want to be fancy.
Earls wood fire pizza's are the bomb as well. And when I am at home in the middle of a gaming session, a good ole Delicio gets the job done.
When I am eating clean, pita pizzas are a good compromise. Hoping to snag some good pies when I am down in California this fall.

There is not a single thing on this planet that is better than pizza.
As much as I hate their normal pizzas, the Little Caesars deep dish pizzas are surprisingly delicious.

If there was a Little Caesars downtown I would try their deep dish lunch pizza that I constantly see commercials for.

Yeah I have to admit their deep dish is very good for the price.

Our new go to pizza is the Donair Pizza from Canadian Pizza Unlimited. Throw a little Sriracha and Ranch on there....nothing better. One night I ate a large myself....I felt shame and pride at the same time. No regrets though
