Default NFL Player Jalen Ramsey says he could make the NHL with 6 months training

Interesting the lack of respect. Eh?

He could train every day for 10 years and still wouldn’t come close.

I'd wager an NHL player would have an easier time making the NFL than the opposite.

I'm not sure Ramsey could learn to stop on skates in 6 months

His ankles would snap in skates. Maybe one of the most purely gifted athletes out there but skating isnt perfected over night. Most of the players have been at itsince the age of 5. Or earlier.

Im sure he could do the rest of what would be required but skating would break him.

I enjoyed this line

Well I guess now that I think about it… Larry Fitzgerald skates at about the same level as Milan Lucic. So…. maybe Jalen could get to the show. What do you think?

It would be a fun experiment to try out. Taking an elite athlete who's never skated before and see what level he could get to. Maybe more than 6 months though.

I suspect if a lot of these non-hockey athletes took up hockey as kids instead of their chosen sport they'd be really good hockey players as well.

Something really cool and maybe linked to charity and bragging rights would be having NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB compete on American Ninja warrior. See who the best athletes are based on those courses.

He couldn’t make the AJHL with a year of training.

I will say the NHL needs more personalities with cockiness and swagger like Ramsey.

I wager he could do it if he was practicing skating every day for 8-10 hours. An elite athlete in his prime? I recon it wouldn't actually be that difficult.

Maybe he could learn to skate up to speed, but there is still timing etc. and being able to execute plays. I just don't see it.

Maybe he could learn to skate, but stick handle, shoot, pass and not get flattened by a check.

no not a chance.

Because I'm a hockey fan, I'm offended by his comment.
