Tanner Glass signs in France
with the Bordeaux Boxers
http://www.hockey-boxers-de-bordeaux...-sur-la-glass/
In case anyone was worried that the Flames would bring him back.

Good to hear.
No disrespect to the player, but Glass being one of the standouts in camp was probably a good early indication of how last season would go.

I didn't actually know that France had hockey leagues. How bout that?! Tanner Glass just taught me something about hockey.

Best of luck to him. Liked what he brought in his stint.

As long as Glass isn't as fragile as Lalique, he should have a lot of fun over there.

Maybe he will celebrate with a Glass of Bordeaux.
But in all seriousness from the link it sounds like the team's manager was surprised they could fit him into their budget and that he choose the city in particular over a bigger paycheque elsewhere.

Depending on his family situation, he probably chose there as a long trip, not sure what the money would be like but would be a neat experience compared to playing in the Ahl or echl or khl.

Won a lot of respect from me when he stood in against Lucic after he got into it with Smith last year and took his lumps for teammates he barely played with. Hope dude has a great time in France, honest hard working player.

I recall Bob Gainey was a player/coach for a French League team called the Epinal Squirrels.

I've always wondered how much money these guys make playing in a league like that.
