Hopefully people aren’t too offended at this guys roast on the Flames. It’s interesting to hear a perspective on the Flames from someone who likes to roast teams. Most of the roast is around the arena. Just wanted to post it as I feel like it would get some discussion going around again.
He also did one for the Oilers back in March. The Oiler Roast was posted in the E=NG thread, but I’m not sure if everyone saw it. So just in case you missed it:

I usually enjoy Urinating Tree's work, his one on the oilers was especially good and I love his weekly this week in sports ball. That being said, I feel like his evaluation of player talent and transactions shows a lack of research (ex. Baertschi for 2nd (Andersson), the Hanifin Lindholm trade, Smith's play). His take on the arena situation leaves out the increasingly large factor of a potential olympic bid (which is how we got the dome in the first place) and the role that it could play. That being said, I whole heartedly agree with his take on ownership and the upper management of this team.
TLDR not his best work, but there is a kernel of truth there
More than just a kernel of truth in that, I think. I wouldn't say I laughed, and there were definitely parts I just thought seemed wrong, but there were a lot of very fair burns in there.

I found it actually really funny, especially the arena debate. A lot of fair jabs.
Mediocre is the overlying theme and in hindsight he's not wrong. But that was then and this is now, and I think they're finally headed in the right direction, so it's easier to sit around and chuckle about the missteps of the past.
After the way he pronounced Shinkaruk, I stopped watching.
Well then your opinion doesn't mean any thing then . Just one more person talking out there ass.
If you didn't watch the whole thing then keep your mouth shut and move on with your day.
There is many ways to pronounce any ones name depending on the region you grew up in. Not only is your post a uninsightful but it is also seems xenophobic .
There weere many good points afterwards about not letting the Flames bend the city over without lube for a new stadium especially with the upcoming lockout.
It sucks we all know a lockout is a definite thing because well history and greed

Lol, that was actually pretty well done. It carries a harshly worded message that I definitely agree with too.
Last year was my first time at the Dome, and we got to see a bunch of games there - so I got a pretty good look at it. From a fan perspective, I loved it. We went to Edmonton as well, and it was really nice, but it really missed a lot of the 'hockey vibe'. It felt more like a really cool airport than it was a hockey arena. A lot of this is design mind you, as Detroit built a great hockey building (I was lamenting the loss of the Joe as well). It's definitely going to be an upgrade over the Dome, but I don't get the rush and hostility it's created in such short order. This video carries a lot of those notes which was good to hear.
He may also gloss over the specifics of player value, but his high-level evaluation was pretty spot on from an outsider perspective. I think a lot of that (didn't get into Sutter trades even) was sacrificed to spend a lot more time on the arena.
