I'm doing what you are doing with Christmas sets. Just started this year and hoping to start a new tradition.
Each year I'm buying a new Christmas set to unveil to the family on Christmas Eve.
The thought is, we build all the previous years sets in the weeks leading up to Christmas then we open and unveil the new set to add to the village. Repeat each year. Kids are aged 6, 4 and 2, so I got lots of runway to work with.
I'm sure once they are teenagers it will be one of their most dreaded Christmas traditions. ahhahaha. Cant wait.

that's kind of crazy.... I wonder how many they had. I heard rumors that Lego is selling through Costco as a Vendor now. Which is why they have "exclusives" and "hard to find" sets at Costco now.

I need a little help.
The Calgary Expo had vendors at the show that would sell the knockoff mini figures. Does anybody have a website address for any of them or can point me in that direction? My little nephew is looking for some, his parents had a website but it doesn’t exsist anymore

ALL ABOARD!

We used AliExpress in the past for buying in bulk for kid's birthday parties but you need to buy ahead. Shipping can take a while but they're the same ones you get at the Expo.

Ordered a set from Toys r Us back on Black Friday. Got around to building it today. The box was very surgically opened and reclosed to look like it was still originally sealed.
Open it up to discover bag #2 was previously opened. Put the set together today. No pieces missing. No stickers put on.
I am so confused.

Rumours that a new creators expert space shuttle is due out around early April. I loved the Saturn V build so hopefully the shuttle is similar.
Also a rumour that the Titanic will be released later this year. That might be a very interesting build!

Picked this up and it's pretty cool. I hope it revives the knights and castles line.

Thats awesome! I have the Saturn V and the international space station, still need to get the Lunar Lander. So the shuttle would look great in the collection.

Wonder if it will come with an iceberg so that you can have a before and after model.
And, of course, a Jack and Rose minifig.

all you'd have to do is make a build video... then play it in reverse for "before and after"

I was in the home of LEGO - Billund, Denmark yesterday. It’s fully a LEGO company town. Cool story, eh?

I don't know, I'm not as enthusiastic about it as I'd have thought. I might pass on this.

it's pricey, $269.99 for 2354 pieces.
I like the look of it. Depending on what kind of deals there are, we'll probably pick one up. The kids are really into space right now.
Being patient, you should be able to find this later in the year at Costco, or Amazon for 15-20% off which would make the price more bearable.
Or if there is an amazing GWP at the Lego store.
