2015/2016 Trade Speculation and Rumors v2
Bob McKenzie – Verified account @TSNBobMcKenzie
Sounds like Christian Ehrhoff will be moving from LA to CHI. Not an official trade but likely to occur. #TSN #tradecentre
Mark Lazerus – Verified account @MarkLazerus
Source says Rob Scuderi likely headed to #LAKings. @TSNBobMcKenzie reporting that Christian Ehrhoff is "likely" headed to #Blackhawks.

PIT has a history of making some questionable moves IMO. But I agree, Schultz isn't helping the depth of any playoff team.
Schultz makes more sense to a non-playoff team to see if they can start to turn around his game IMO.

I don't think he'd see any icetime. It's more because they think with competent development they can turn him into an offensive dman. Mind you, he needs to be qualified at a ridiculous number, so I could be talking out of my arse - however my guess is a good team would try to sign him longer term at a better number and try to de-Oiler him...

So if CHI adds Ehrhoff, they are likely done unless they start to move roster players, no?

Not through a trade. Shultz will 100% become a UFA after this season. Whether it is a contender, playoff team or rebuilding team, nobody is going to sign that QO.
I do think he will get some interest in the off-season, as there will be teams that will be willing to work on his game and see if he can't be a good reclamation project, but I don't know how anyone would trade assets for him knowing he is going to become a UFA due to his high qualifying offer.

Is it just me or is nobody really linked to Russell anymore? Price tag too high?

I find it weird that two teams likely to face each other in the playoffs would trade with each other. Yes, the focus should be on what makes your team better, but giving anything to a potential matchup seems odd.

No interest from the Kings apparently.
Jon Rosen @lakingsinsider 4 minutes ago
Have not heard any interest in any time about Kris Russell, fwiw. Things obviously move around, but have never heard his name come up.

I am probably getting too trigger happy with our guys but I wonder about Russell. The flames really do seem to love him and value him more than his likely perceived value around the league. Maybe the Flames are holding out for a 1st rounder + or a top prospect from a team. I hope for that return but offer end up getting the Glencross return back I am okay with that as well. I wonder if Flames management will be though?

Last night there was talk of double digit # of teams being interested. Sounds like he'll go for good value for sure.
Part of the quiet about it may just be that CGY doesn't end up leaking potential deals to our media from our end.

16 teams will make the playoffs. At least 2 more might try to add to "go for it." Patience, the TDL is Monday. That's still when the majority of the trades happen.

Not sure that is the case at all. Based on the rumoured # of teams interested I'd say his value league wide seems to be quite decent.

Maybe it would help if Russell was playing and showcasing himself.
I think they should play him saturday. Not heavily, but maybe he adds a nice assist and gets on the highlight reels. Out of sight, out of mind.

Well a lot of teams could be interested but that doesn't mean they will pay the price Calgary wants.

Dallas will make their moves. Nashville looks like they're going to go hard. And with how NSH has been scouting the Flames recently I cannot see how there is not at least a safe deal to make for CGY with them regarding Hudler.
Also, the Rangers still have yet to make their moves, Pittsburgh, FLA, TB. I think WSH is done with maybe a little minor tweaking.
I wonder if DET gets into the fray as well. Not sure what Bostons plans are but they're needing to beef things up a little too.
That'll leave ANA, SJ and COL left to tweak some things.
Holy! Just looking at the standings and it really looks like the Pacific is set.
