Hey all, I'm trying to start juicing every few days to increase my fruit and vegetable intake and get more of the micro-nutrients into my system. I figured I would start a thread on here for anyone else that has good recipes, juicing tips, and/or any good things to say about what juicing has done for their own health. One of our wedding gifts was this "slow" juicer and I'm just going to go for it.
So far made a "mean green" which was:
Bunch of kale
4 celery sticks
1 cucumber
2 apples
half a lemon
and thumb sized piece of ginger root.
Pretty tasty...surprisingly so.
I know that you need to be careful having too much fruit in the juice due to the high sugar content, but I wonder if there are any other tips for juicing that anyone has come across.
