Carmine's has opened up their second location in Oakridge, in the same plaza as Purlieu on Palliser Drive. Still super tasty and they do takeout which is nice these days. I'm especially digging any of their pies with their roasted mushrooms, like The Babe or the Florentine. They'll do half and half pizzas too, as long as both halves are white or red sauce.

I tried the OG pizza from there and a salad. Good crust, but I didn't like their pepperoni or prices.
Decently good, but wouldn't go back.

Bonasera in Dover is probably the best pizza I've had in Calgary. Had it recommended to me by someone a couple weeks ago, had it described as "Atlas pizza like". I actually liked it more, personally. Same cheese style as Atlas.

It’s really good. We go for lunch there often. Well... we used to anyway.

Had Paul's Pizza in Shawnessy a couple weeks back and it was awesome. The menu is enormous, especially for non-pizza stuff (which we didn't try)... but might give some of that a go at some point.
It's the go-to next time we're ordering in the deep south here.

I wanted to give Carmine's a try based on this thread, but looks like they are only open Wed to Sun during the current situation. I was so looking forward to it. At least I have a plan for Wednesday

I tried Carmines this past weekend it's pretty good! The large is 18" and for me and two kids we did not need 2 of them!
I tried a ham and pineapple and a pepperoni. They have way better options on the menu, but we just tried two basic ones as a first try. They don't actually have ham there, but it's roasted pulled pork (basically) and it's delicious!
I'll order there again and try some of their other offerings for sure.

Based on the chatter in this thread I gave POW a shot over the weekend. It's good stuff but I'm not sure it's for me. The thick focaccia crust base was a bit much for me. The crust / baked cheese line was super tasty though.

Got some pizza from Varsity last weekend. Excellent Greek style pizza. Even more delicious cold the next morning.

I assume that would be Matadors? A classic in Varsity.

My mind immediately went to Matadors, when you mentioned greek style. Matadors is up there with Spiros/Volos for thick, cheesy pizza. Great stuff.

My usual spot for Greek pizza is Niko’s but they were closed last month so I tried Varsity. It was great. I’ll definitely get it again.

Has anyone tried ‘Royal’ pizza? One just opened up north of me here in Kincora and it appears to be a franchise.
Any feedback on this place?

How often do you people get pizza?
In my family we typically limit it to once per month.
I could legit eat the stuff everyday.

We have "pizza and movie night" as a family nearly every Friday, but rarely have Pizza otherwise. I'd say we order pizza about 50 times per year.
