Default SD Card specs-- are they unique?

My brother recently purchased a used vehicle which has a stereo system that has 2 slots for SD cards. I already knew it had a limitation of only being able to read up to 2 gig cards, and I knew it also couldn't read the "SDHC" cards.

I picked up a 2 gig SD card via ebay, and the car won't read them. The dealer has said you need cards from the same year the car was built to be compatible... which makes no sense to me, I think he means the class or speed that was common for that year. This car is a 2006. Does anyone know what kind of card we need and where I'd find such a thing?

I would double check the formatting on it and make sure its in fat32. i have a usb drive that gets fussy with a pioneer deck if its not in anything but fat32.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
