Not when you realistically have no hope in the league other than staying up. Cup runs give supporters something to be happy about. In Rovers' case, this might have been all they could hope for this season.

Theres still the paint trophy. I hold out hope for some paint!
I wish I could have seen that match, they were holding a Championship side for the vast majority of the game and then just fell apart for 2 minutes. I get the impression that they must have pushed for the equalizer and been exposed for the third, but still, not necessarily a bad game.

I was talking about my point of view. I've followed Tranmere for 38 years and I've enjoyed their cup runs immensely but the league has ultimately been the most important thing in the long run. The cups are a bonus for me.
