The best part is the hidden video, he appears to be drinking a pint of wine. Man's man right there.

One of the things I love about British journalism is their attention to descriptive detail. For example:

Quote:
Allardyce left his home in Bolton, Greater Manchester, shortly before 7am on Tuesday. He came out of the side of his home and swiftly got into his black Mercedes car which was parked on his front drive. Wearing a suit, and a shirt unbuttoned to the navel, he then drove off without comment.

England and Sam Allardyce have mutually agreed to part ways.

In a lot of ways I feel bad for Big Sam, this was his shot to finally become more than a Bit-Part manager.

But, in fairness, while he did conspire to circumvent the Law he did receive a 'Pint of Wine' so he did have that going for him.

that was probably my favourite part. There he sits at a meeting with "important businessmen" he's only just met and who he wants to do lucrative business with, sipping wine from a freaking pint glass. Outstanding.

Works out well for Sunderland, when they sack Moyes in January Big Sam can lead them out of relegation yet again.

Well he does leave the post undefeated, which is unheard of!

Easily my favourite part. Nothing screams class and credibility like sipping wine from a pint glass while conducting high-level business negotiations or huddling conspiratorially.

The next time I go to a nice restaurant or hotel I want to order a pint of wine just to see what happens.

To be fair he could have just swigged right from the bottle, so a pint is quite classy relatively speaking.

Unsurprisingly Gareth Southgate is named interim England Manager.

No word on whether or not that position is accompanied by a complimentary 'Pint of Wine' but I'm surmising that it does not as, if it did a lot of this rigmarole could likely have been avoided.
