Watching the back to back skits about JLo being hot (the home makeover followed by the corporal) and then her being attracted to the roadie, it felt like they could have done better
I think my favourite line of the night was a little one buried in the Hoops skit where Jlo said they were so luxurious they turned your ears the colour of money.
The opening was funny. Fallon was not particularly good as Trudeau but Corden as Boris was hilarious

I laughed quite a bit during the home makeover skit, but I agree, the "Jlo is hot" concept got tiresome pretty quickly.

When you have to resort to a skit about guys pissing from their beds thru a tube, particularly when you have JLo to work with, its time to find new writers.
What's the deal with Eddie Murphy? I used to think he was reclusive or genuinely hurt by David Spade's joke. But the more I read about him the more it seems he really just lacks any sort of drive.
My PVR recorded the replay of the Christmas episode from 1998 (Alec Baldwin hosting, the Schweaty Balls episode). Some parts of it were wild. It was around the time of Clinton's impeachment, so very similar themes and jokes around that. A joke about the impending doom due to climate change.
But the best one was during the monologue, Jimmy Fallon came on as a ghost of SNL hosts future and made a joke about how he becomes a huge star and hosts the Christmas episode I. 2011...which he did.

You should read Norm MacDonald relating the story about Eddie Murphy
He knew the laughs would bring the house down. Eddie Murphy knows what will work on SNL better than any one.

Eddie decides the laughs are not worth it. He will not kick a man when he is down.

Eddie Murphy, I realize, is not like the rest of us. Eddie does not need the laughs.

Eddie Murphy is the coolest, a rockstar even in a room with actual rockstars.

Sometimes I can’t tell if Norm is being genuine. Reading those quotes makes me think he could just as easily be taking shots at Eddie Murphy. I don’t think he is though.
