I think Roy has been very good again. Tough break getting sniped by Boychuk and a 4-on-1.

Okay boys, time to get the 3rd period goal barrage going.
Abbotsford has called their timeout.

Grand Rapids lost tonight so if the Heat pick up the win, we will move into sole possession of 1st in the Western Conference.

Depending on what happens with the Flames, Street might also have a chance at the franchise goal record. He's 11 away and presumably will be down in Abbotsford during the Olympic Break.

Reading all this I got a few points:
- I like the game threads
- hopefully this can shut up the 'trade Sven' clowns, at least for a bit
- our draft picks from 2009 onward are producing NHLers and it makes me happy to see all this homegrown talent
- why the hell didn't Burke like the 2011 draft? I don't get it, Baertschi Granlund, Wotherspoon, Gaudreau and Broissot were picked that year. Sven has struggled but who drafted after him is miles ahead of him now? And/or have the same upside? Granlund (especially) and Wotherspoon look good on the farm and look like NHLers one day. Burke even said he liked Johnny and Broissot netted him Smid who he coveted. I like Burke but this didn't make sense outside the fact the forwards picked were all smaller...

There's a small "Let's Go Heat" chanting going. The crowd is alive!
