Good god, stop already. Do you honestly believe that the coaches and GM don't know what Jankowski is about? I guarantee that Treliving is just as anxious as all of us to see him back in Calgary.

Not only should he be up here but he should be a top 9 forward.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Tkachuk (potential great 1st line, better than current 1st line)
Bennett - Backlund - Frolik (very good 2nd line, similar to current)
Ferland - Janko - Jagr (big 3rd line that could play the cycle game and also quite skilled)
Versteeg - Stajan - whoever (better 4th line than current, Versteeg could move up based on injuries and also get some PP time)
looks a hella lot better than what GG 2.0 is rolling with currently

I still argue putting Tkachuk with Gaudreau and Monahan is a really bad idea. Tkachuk drags his linemates into scrums, something we don't want Gaudreau and Monahan doing. Backlund and Frolik embraced that aspect surprisingly well last season.
Tkachuk and Bennett seem like an ideal pair long-term.

Then maybe he should send Freddie Hamilton down, or at least give an explanation as to why a Jason Morgan level player has a guaranteed spot on the team.

Do you believe Jankowski would be better served taking F. Hamilton's spot in the press box instead of top-line mins in the AHL? I are positive that the situation was explained to Jankowski.
