In case you’re still looking, I spotted some when I was at Oomomo in Marlborough. They’re also available online.

but can only find US suppliers.

Start with these guys, they are designated dewalt repair operators here in town. They should be your best bet to get answers today. When I’ve got tools repaired previously they have a mini warehouse onsite and you may get lucky

I suppose you already have, but just checking if you have tried the local dewalt service centers? Website shows a couple in town.

Awesome, thanks! The first one has it for $2 more than the USD price I was seeing, so it's $30. Getting it shipped from the US was going to cost at least $90, and I can get a new saw for $130, so it didn't make any sense. Yay fixing things! Boo for letting it roll off the roof.

Random shout out to local company Re-Matt.

It’s a mattress recycler here in town, they recycle about 90% of your mattress and dropping it off was pretty easy. There is a cost but it’s the same as dumping it the landfill.

Ya, went there a few years ago, worth the cost to save going to the landfill, and keeping it out of there!

Any idea what companies do when they take away your old mattress? Straight to the dump?

I'd rather pay a small fee to have it recycled if possible.

Is brass colored close enough? It would probably be easier to find than gold colored specifically. Shouldn't be too hard to find one at local hardware store or at worst, Amazon?

A great place to find all kinds of odds and ends for your home. Doors, Hinges, Sinks, furniture, lamps, they have tonnes of stuff and it changes daily. Prices are fantastic.

This is exactly what I'm looking for, but it's only on Home Depot US website. We're doing a fairy princess closet for one of my girls and apparently, the rods HAVE to be gold (brass OK too).

Wow... wtf. When locally available brick and mortar stores that have something that seems like the best value is West Elm and Pottery Barn, you know the world has gone crazy.

https://www.potterybarn.ca/pb-standard-metal-drape-rod-brass?location=&quantity=1&attribute_1=Brass&attri bute_2=.75"%20diam.&attribute_3=Medium%20(48"%20-%2088")&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp5aAqYGV-gIV-xitBh28oQfSEAQYByABEgK-oPD_BwE

($140-180, but all the components are there and it seems like an upgraded type of rod rather than a pure basic one that are supposed to be available at around $60-90)

https://www.westelm.ca/products/simple-metal-rod-antique-brass-t5074/?catalogId=71&sku=3662815&cm_ven=PLA&cm_cat=Google &cm_pla=Windows%20>%20Curtain%20Rods%20%26%20Hardw are&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp5aAqYGV-gIV-xitBh28oQfSEAQYCSABEgKywvD_BwE

($130-200, but again upgraded)

Do you think attempting to adapt a curtain rod rather than keep searching for a closet rod might work as well? I think the weight limits are about the same. At those prices, I also almost wonder if putting a dowel into hollow brass or copper tubing and then polishing up the copper would also be a nice looking, functional and reasonably priced option in comparison to those.

On a different note, does anyone know where most convenience stores stock up on flats of unique energy drink flavors? I was going to go check out Real Canadian Wholesale Club, but I was wondering if anyone knows where else to take a look.

The one I specifically want to obtain is Monster - White pineapple flavor. $4 at 7-11 is pretty darn high. I typically buy a flat of regular flavor, but if I could swap it for the pineapple one, I think it'd be great for the approximately one time a week I drink the stuff. Monster white pineapple one also seems like it'd be awesome in cocktails that demand pineapple juice. Monster watermelon was also pretty good.

Not opposed to curtain rod, but prefer a standard type of closet clothes rod. They are a wider diameter.

Like I seriously thought this would be like a $45 endeavor but it looks like you can't get a gold (or brass) rod readily in Canada lmao. Like wtf.

No idea if they have Monster stuff, but dollar stores are where I go for Gatorade Zero, waaay cheaper than even grocery stores.

Not sure they'd have flats either actually.

For the gold rod, yeah painting one with gold Rust-Oleum would probably work fine.
