Has there ever been a more overhyped franchise than the Chargers of the last decade? They have not finished first in the AFC West since 2009 and have finished last in the division 3 of the last 6 years and I guess finishing 3rd last season means they are a playoff team? It's like the media and insiders never learn.

I would say the Rams are getting more hype than anyone and that story confirms it. Is the difference between Matt Stafford and Jared Goff so enormous that they really think it takes a somewhat-above-average team to Super Bowl favourite status? Really?

Yes, Jared Goff was horrid last year. Stafford has never had a defense like what the Rams do. I don't think he'll make the Rams offence great, but he'll make it serviceable which is all it needs to be with their defense.
But that NFC West is a tough Division. Quite a few people are picking the Rams or the 49'ers to come out of the NFC. That might be a bit tough to do this year as I think Tampa and Green Bay should grab the top two seeds and will be hard to beat at home two times in a row for a # 3 seed.

It’s either the Packers or the Bucs going to the SB imo. Bills or Chiefs on the other end. Maybe Browns as a sleeper pick.

Unbelievable injuries in Baltimore right now. Their top 3 RBs are likely out for the season, assuming Edwards has a tear, which potentially puts Le'Veon Bell in the #1 role.

Ravens should shut Lamar down before he tears his ACL too. Just write this year off and go full tank.

i think Dallas is even more hyped, they have one of the worst defenses of all time and because they are getting their overhyped QB back, their a SB team. As for the Chargers, you arent wrong, they will find a way to lose regardless, even with a good young QB, they will waste his prime.

The Cowboys are always overhyped because they are the Cowboys. They could be the worst team in the league and would still get more air time than 90% of the league.

Good thing they are facing the Raiders defense to start the season. Wouldn't be shocked if Bell has a decent game off the street.

They will probably end up using Ty’Son Williams as the #1 RB to start the season.

Me: "Hey I'm excited for this season!"
Cris Collinsworth two plays into the game: "Dak looks incredible"
Me: Puts on mute

Took only 20 or so minutes for an utterly horrible challenge, welcome back NFL!

This has been a great season opener so far. I was concerned that Dallas was going to be awful and this was going to be a boring blowout but so far Dallas is going toe to toe with TB.

That half felt like the future of the league. The old days of "establish the run" are heading out. Big 12 football, here we come.
