Kyle Okposo in Intensive Care
I didn't see a thread on this, but it seems like it's legitimate. Apparently they aren't sure what the issue is, which is rather scary.

I thought it was mentioned that the unit he is in deals with strokes and brain tumours and such. Doesn't sound good.

Damn that's horrible. Did he have a lot of issues before that Phaneuf hit that injured him I think in pre-season from years ago?

This is terrible. I hope he gets better fast.
Something is really wrong... you don't end up in intensive care for something minor.

Here's hoping he recovers from what sounds like a scary situation.
While he's in a neuro ICU and that mean a lot of different things, I wonder if it has anything to do with the cumulative effects of concussions.

Extremely unlikely in my experiences in an ICU. It is likely related to a stroke, tumor, or infection.

Only 2 other places I'd rather not be in a hospital: emergency surgical and palliative care. ICU is serious. I'd speculate a stroke.

If it's a stroke would they not be able to diagnose that? Sounds like they don't know exactly what the issue is.

ICU is a ward with many medical concerns. It could be anything, however ICU usually is a sign of serious illness. Doesnt mean he cant overcome it, depending on severity.

I know but the reason I went there is simple. I look at Bret Hart, suffered multiple concussions in short order and suddenly had a massive stroke. I've read about kids that have had concussions in a short period of time that have major issues.
I mean, while something like this is something you don't want to wish on anyone, you also hope its not the other thing, like a brain tumor.

I had this when I was in grade 11. No laughing matter.
Not as bad as bacterial but still not good.
