That's not a strike at all. Sheesh. No wonder Teo was ticked.

The strike zone on the Jays is enormous. Tough to get hits that way.

I know that when I go to a Jays game I don’t want to see studs like Teoscar hit baseballs, I wanna see the Umps yank the chain!

Yikes so far, other than a couple the pitching has been fairly crappy
2 of the 3 starters have had a really bad outing....
Lucky for the hitting.

I know it's only game 3 so not a huge deal, but man the pitching needs to pick it up a bit. They're getting pummeled.

Wow. Outscored 11-1 since the 4th. Got the series win but there is a lot to be improved upon

These starters better get their #### together. The bullpen is already a question mark, and they are not likely to hold it together for long if they have to come in so early every friggin game.

Rockies are beating up on the Dodgers, A's beat the Phillies, Reds are beating the Braves.
Bad teams will beat good teams now and again.

The dreaded Saucedo/Thornton duo. Seeing them pitch multiple times in a series isn’t a recipe for success.

In fairness to Trent he has pitched OK so far.

Sucks for this game to go the way it did after getting up 6-1 early, but the series win is what matters most for now.

Brutal pitching today. Felt like 2020 or some of the brutal Hyun Jin-Poo starts from last year.
Hopefully he and the team bounce back

I don't have much hope for Ryu anymore.
Soft tosser that needs to be perfect with his command to be effective.
He'll likely have a solid start here and there, but you can probably wave good bye to the ace we had in year one of the deal. Hopefully he can keep the ERA under 5.

Oh well! 2 out 3 to start the season is fine by me. Pitching has been, ahem, not great. Plenty of time to work out the kinks. Manoah tomorrow! Lets go!

I think the Jays feel that Ryu is a #5 starter now. They wanted him to pitch the third game against the Rangers because we hopefully should have won the first two games and they didn’t want him to start in the early games against the Yanks knowing that it could go very badly.

I think Ryu just needs more innings to get stretched out. He only pitched 3 innings in spring training. That's it. It takes time for these guys to get their arms ready. We saw how dialed he was through 3. I'm optimistic.

Yeah and the condensed spring training throws a bit of a wrench in things for everyone too. Especially the pitchers.
I’ll give them until around the 40 game mark before I get too concerned about the pitching.
Offense looks very good as expected.
I’m not worried at all.

Might want to wait a little longer than that. 20 of the next 23 games are against the Yankees, Red Sox and Astros.

Berrios: 1 out
Gausman: 15 outs
Ryu: 10 outs
That leaves 55 outs for the bullpen, in the first 3 games of the season, with a shortened pre-season. Of course they were going to struggle with that. Not worried at all.
I am, however, a little worried about Ryu, as he showed the exact same problem as last year - an inability to get the ball past any batters, after about the 50 pitch mark. If he can't solve that, he's done.
