I will say that so far this discussion is better than both the show and the Satanist temple's whining.

So its got that going for it, which is nice.

They literally copied that work from illustrations that have been around for years and made a few minor changes. There is absolutely zero chance they have to win as there are plenty of differences between their statue and the one in Sabrina. This is just another sad publicity stunt.

I think courts will find that the changes that TCT made over historical depictions were substantive (mostly concerning the children, which are not present in any historical depictions). It's the use of these children that make the TCT depiction of Baphomet unique; according to the lawsuit, they did auditions and modelled these after real people. A court would likely consider that authorship that would be protected by copyright. When it comes to these elements, the Sabrina statue is blatant, copying the pose, gender, race, haircuts, clothing, expressions... really, every element of them.

The two statues below, for anyone who hasn't seen them. The creative director insists (apparently with a straight face) that the similarity of the children is just coincidence and that they weren't copied.

Spoiler!

Lol, if the "layperson" standard has any weight, when I saw that scene in the series I literally thought "hey they borrowed that statue they were using to rustle a bunch of feathers".

LOTR is back on Netflix but only ROTK is the extended version. And Two Towers says it’s the extended version but it isn’t.

As for tracking new releases I use justwatch. It’s updated daily and allows you to pick which sites you see the updates for. Has cast info and trailers for most shows and movies.

It used to have the extended versions of TT and ROTK. Weird they would only bring back the other.

If anybody is still playing with region switching, “Over the Garden Wall” is pretty good. It’s on the Netherlands fees.

We finished Narcos: Mexico on the weekend.

Overall I thought it was a great series. I knew the story quite well so it was nice to see it in action so to speak.

I just started watching Bumping Mics with Jeff Ross and Dave Attell. It’s hilarious.

Ugh. Not much of interest on there, and I am pretty sure some are just being brought back again. I swear Trolls, Paddington, and Bruce/Evan Almight were on Netflix before?

Watership Down looks like it could be interesting.
