I see your Deadpool trailer and raise you an Aquaman trailer......when you were growing up did you ever think that in one year we would get: Black Panther, Deadpool and Aquaman movies?

Add Ant-Man & Wasp to that list too.
Although I only have faith that 3 of the 4 will be good...and I've already seen and enjoyed three of them
Ahh ya, get hyped!!!! That movie looks INNNNNNSAAAANNEEE... ly bad.

The trailer before this one was better but it could still be fun. I'm going in with pretty low expectations. Low enough that I won't be seeing it in the theatre but high enough that I'll actually watch it.
I'm pretty confident this will be a hit. Not Black Panther level, but I think more than Venom or Ant-Man and the Wasp in North America. Won't beat DP2 in North America but I think everyone here will be surprised at this. I hope you all enjoy it when/if you watch it!
Yeah Aquaman has looked lamer and lamer the more things come out.
When I first saw the image of Mamoa with the trident I was like "F*** ya!"
And then the first trailers for JL, where he didnt actually talk I was like "Pretty sweet!"
And then when he opened his mouth I was like "Oh... oh no..."
And each trailer has waned my interest just a little bit more until now I have literally zero interest in it.
Maybe if you liked Aquaman already it looks good? I dunno.
Aquaman doesn't exactly have a huge fan base to draw from. If anything, the Aquaman fanbase will be turned off by all the changes the movie has made. If this movie does well, it will be from the hype of the actual movie.

Mamoa scales big in Asia. Aquaman should do well.
On a side note, Venom is looking like it will easily cross $800 million, which is huge on a $100 million budget.

The only thing worse than an Aquaman movie is a Green Lantern movie....
Especially his little effing poem thing. No evil shall escape my sight. Yeah every alien Green Lantern has to recite that before the ring charges... ok

No! Surely not. You, of all people? You think a DC film will be a hit? Someone bring me my fainting couch, I'm feeling a spell come on.

While Nadal Fan's unabashed positivity can be naive, god damn do I appreciate it. Its refreshing to not have the constant negativity. I like a good pitchfork mob as much as the next guy, but its not like we're dealing with Oiler fans here. If DC pumps out some good flicks. We all win.
Its weird to crap on a guy for hoping something is good. Even if the odds are against it.
Complaints about CGI in Aquaman are weird. How the hell else do you do a movie like that?
With James Wan involved I have a feeling this is actually going to be a pretty good movie. But I bet the opening weekend numbers will be pretty underwhelming. The character just doesn't have enough of a following and there isn't much hype a month away from release. If the movie is to do well financially I would guess that it will be through word of mouth leading to a secondary surge. People saying "Hey, this actually isnt aweful! Its actually kinda good!"
Its hard to get past the crazy sea monsters and dudes riding giant sea horses and crocodiles. From the trailers, to me it looks not too bad.
I don't plan to see it in theatres, but if the buzz is strong and the reviews are pretty good, I might check it out.

Was that Godzilla in there? I thought it looked bad before then I watched the trailer and did a slow clap. Just when you think they can't make things worse...BOOM!

The biggest risk with aquaman is that they cast a guy who is a great still frame picture model as the lead, notwithstanding still frame pictures is kind of the limit of his artistic talent

I don't know what people expect, of course there's going to be a lot of CGI, Atlantis isn't a real place. Were you also upset at Black Panther or Infinity War for having a lot of CGI? Both great films, but both had a lot of CGI.
