Anyone check out the super deluxe reissue of the White Album yet? Giles Martin remixed the album from the original first generation tapes and it sounds incredible! You can hear lots of stuff musically that was buried in the original mixes. They’ve also included the ‘Esher Demos’ which were recorded at George’s house and a bunch of alternate takes. Well worth the time if you’re a Beatles fan.

MEET YOU IN THE SHADOWS is their final studio album, completed before the passing of founding lead guitarist Larry Ray. Some of the songs, like "Lies Feel Good" and "Creeps Retreat", address contemporary social and political turmoil, while "The Beginning of the End of the Night" and "Complicate Me" are more of a psychological hall of mirrors. The title track, "Meet You in the Shadows" is all of these things at once. [burger records]
Thanks for this. I did not know these guys were still active, nor did I hear about Larry Ray's death. They were a great band in the 90s and early oughts.

Mr. Burns: Beatles, eh? Yes, I seem to remember their off-key caterwauling on the old Sullivan Show. What was Ed thinking?

Audio isn't the best, so you'll have to find the recorded track somewhere.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first single, Tints, but Anderson .Paak - Oxnard is a dope album.

New one from Grimes. I'm not sure how I feel about it. She's definitely gone in a new direction.

Yeah it’s a banger. Feels like an evolution for both lyrical rap and for soul music which too often gets trapped in mimicry. I’ve how this combines the chill New York jazz-hop vibes with Gospel and psychedelic influences.
