Why the heck would the Gaudreau's want to move to Calgary? It's a tough sell for even Torontonians to move out here let alone Americans from the NY/PA area. Most people that are accustomed to actual seasons aren't fans of two months of nice weather annually.

Provorov and Konecny sound like a good start.

I know the energy is negative and I am with some people on that but no need to worry about this as a sign Johnny needs to go back east.
how exactly would they do that? what could they possibly do other than make a private jet available for Johnny to use at any time to go home?

Ask Craig Conroy how he liked it. No better example than that!

Their son is rich. You would be surprised how the rules are different for millionaires.

A centreman that doesn’t get regularly outscored by the defenceman we’re trading for him, to start.

Pay for 100% of the medical bills?

Obviously this season is done let Johnny take the rest of the year off. A lot of frequent check ins making sure the family has everything they need?

Do what they can so the family can rally around a loved one in need.

These would be things the Flames wouldn’t need to do and Johnny obviously has the means to do everything for his family as well. I assume the organization will do what it takes to ensure their franchise player feels the love

Wonder what the deal is with Hickey though. Rumour has it he was a frequent "ask" by potential Flames trading partners.

Did he fall off the map, or is just not interested in Arizona?

Largely guess work but based on the description that they don't see a fit to sign him - I would guess he's asking for a more lucrative entry level deal than the Yotes are prepared to give up, particularly as a budget team.

So I think he would sign there. For the right price.

College stats are difficult to read but it also looks like he didn't have a great year, or at minimum, hasn't shown a ton of progression since his post draft year.
