Ciona has really slowed down since earning the contract. Totally natural, but I hope he brings that fire to camp next year or he's going to wash out quick.

I have to respectfully disagree to a point. I've been a big Ciona Detractor since before we even drafted him, but he's really changed my opinion this year, all the way back to camp. For a kid that will likely never be a top-6 player in the NHL, you couldn't hope for a better season from him-he's top-30 in scoring, and first in plus/minus. In camp, he showed a marked improvement in his skating, and was one of the fittest players for the rookies. He won an award from the coaches in rookie camp for his hard work-he didn't take a single shift off, so I wouldn't worry about his competitive fire. I could see him becoming another Garnet Hathaway-solid defensive player with grit, physicality, and toughness.

Still no Beck for Ottawa. 67's are still the best in the OHL, with a 23-5-0-1 record.

Halifax beats Charlottetown,7-3. Frustrating to report that Whynot somehow gets zeroes across the board. 28gp/2g/11a/13pts,-1, 12 PIM.

Huckins puts up 2a,+1 in a 7-5 win over Victoriaville. 30gp/11g/15a/26pts, +7, 39 PIM.

Ciona was all zeroes (except for 3 shots), in a 4-1 win over Everett. 27gp/10g/23a/33pts,+25 (3rd in the WHL), 26 PIM.

Bell was 3rd star in a 7-6 SOL to Victoria, with 1g,3a,+3, and 7 PIMs, including a fighting major. He also scored in the SO. 27gp/12g/20a/32pts,+4, 35 PIM. He's having a nice D+1 season.

Wow, looks like Ciona and Bell are very close in terms of production. Both big boys and both born in 2003.

Never seen Bell play but after reading that decided to check out his highlights from recent games, and wow I am intrigued. He is a good skater with good hands and has a good shot, he is also 6’4, we could have something here, will keep watching him

If Bell can have a David Moss type career, that'd be a pretty amazing later round pick.
