Well considering Foothills makes the ice cream at the dome, you can bet its the same taste (ie not someone trying to knock it off or doing an homage). And yes, the flavour at the dome is Cinnamalt, unchanged recipe in forever besides a name change a year or two back.

Nice! I haven't had a Dome malt in like 10 years, so I don't remember at all how it was like.

Bit on the pricey side though...
$7 for a 500 ml container.

Yeah, definitely pricey. But the carton seems to be plastic, so I'm going to keep it as a memento and store some screws in it or something.

Not to be undone, the Oilers also have a frozen dessert treat available at finer Rogers Place concessionaries.
Comprised of off-brand non-dairy whitener, vaseline and Ivermectin paste.

It has a lot of salt in it. And it’s a little bit pissy.
The masses eat it up though, because KLowe knows a thing or two about ice cream, in case there are any concerns.

Might be sold out, when I bought it at the Co-op near me there were hardly any left.

Chocolate has never been offered at the dome.
Everyone thinks it's chocolate because it's brown, but it is/always has been cinnamalt. Look around the dome, you won't see the word "Chocolate" anywhere, it's Vanilla or Malt.
Damnit,
I'm trying to post an astronaut "Always has been meme", but I can't get it to work.
I'm so embarassed.

I didn't even know they had ice cream at the dome. I guess I really don't make it past the whiskey stand.

I can't speak for the signage in the Dome (I'm pretty sure it has said chocolate but I stand to be corrected), and it's been a few years since I've actually had one (I normally prefer the "twist"), but I believe Malt refers to the type of dessert, not the flavour i.e. you can order a "vanilla malt" or a "chocolate malt".
I'll add, the description on the carton even says it is "cinnamon-chocolate" flavour, not "cinnamon-malt" flavour.
I will admit that I had no idea there was any cinnamon in it (advertised or otherwise); sounds like this has been the case since at least 2014: https://twitter.com/dinnerwithjulie/...650881?lang=en

Malt is an ingredient, typically made from barley but can be made from other grains.

When I was there it wasn't in the regular frozen desserts aisle, it was in an end aisle display case and limited to a shelf. I almost missed seeing it (there wasn't any big promotional display/sign for it).
Not saying that was the case for you at your location (mine is on Richmond Rd).
I imagine it could potentially be a very popular item as spring rolls along.

Despite its origins as a health food for infants and invalids, malted milk found unexpected markets. William Horlick became a patron of Antarctic exploration, and Admiral Richard E. Byrd named Horlick Mountains, a mountain range in Antarctica, after him. Back in the US, people began drinking Horlick's new beverage for enjoyment. James Horlick returned to England to import his American-made product and was eventually made a baronet. Malted milk became a standard offering at soda shops, and found greater popularity when mixed with ice cream in a "malt", for which malt shops were named.
