Looking forward to seeing Monahan tonight after the comments that he looks faster this season (I missed the season opener). Maybe he has another level and would put all this talk about ‘can’t win with Monahan as #1C’ to rest.

I think that Monahan was the best Flame in game 1.
His 1 goal was actually a sweet pass that banked off of an Avalanche player and he made a nice dish on Johnny's goal.
Also, he went 13-4 in the faceoff dot. O_O
