Default THN: Confidence in Team Management

Ran a poll and ranked the teams in order of confidence in management

Selected sample had to rate all 30 management teams as to how comfortable each fan would be if they ran their team.

Result?

Canucks dead last

15th seems low for us. I think we have one of the best management groups in the NHL.

Can't say I'm surprised by the Canucks in last though.

Until there is some sustained success, 15th seems about right.

The Canucks are in dead last?

Wow, Oiler fans are delusional about their own delusions.

Edmonton Oilers: Worst Run Franchise in the History of Sports. Bar none.

I thought we might rank higher but I guess last season's finish might have something to do with it.

Smartest thing expressed by a Nucks fan in some time...

Fun poll, but it would have been better with a larger sample size. 200 for the entire poll?

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Phoenix way ahead of Calgary is nonsense.

Our front office is very underrated in this poll. So be it. In two years we will be top 5.

Cap management has been excellent with Tre. Two years away from shedding Wideman and Stajan cap gorillas by Feaster.

lol agreed. That Hall for Larsson trade itself should put their trading down to 30. Benning is junk but that trade itself has to be the worst trade I've seen in many years.

Agreed. Winnipeg is too high as well.

BTW, Stajan's current contract was Burke not Feaster.

Interesting to see the nosedive Anaheim did. Much less confidence in their front office this year than last.

I think 15th isn't far off considering we weren't a playoff team last year. Definitely an argument to be made about some of the non-playoff teams ahead of the Flames, but that's just due to super homer fanbases is most cases. Obviously Winnipeg has done very well drafting, developing, trading, cap managing so it makes sense for them to be ahead of us.

Don't like to see the Jets at 10, that really gives chevy too much credit. In the end though the talent we've acquired for our system is pretty hard to beat. Hopefully it translates. If it does.. great... I suppose the first 4 years was worth it.

16th in free agency is generous, but trades should be higher, since Treliving.
The rest are fair for now, and I'd expect would go up.

Here's yer chance to stick it to the Nuckleheads again, in a Vancouver Province-generated survey, identical to the THN poll: http://theprovince.com/sports/hockey...r-front-office

I smell a CP Jihad.

EDIT - The article blamed THN for only having 200 votes.... well this one has a lot more than 200 haha

I think we should vote 10s for everything. All is well in Canuck land, nothing to see here!

Man, I'm assuming all those 5s, 7s, 8s scattered in there are legit.

My perfect 10 view of them is looking like an outlier
