The Seattle zoo is nice, but Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma is much better, IMO.

Cal Bears @ Washington Huskies, 12:30pt Saturday.

Awesome stadium atmosphere that is right on the lake (there's a dock for people to drive their boats to the game) and awesome tail-gating all around campus. Go down there early and walk around campus as it's beautiful and there's tons of stuff going on for the football game.

Even if you've never watched college football going to a game is still worth the experience.

Steamer's is my personal favorite, right on Alaskan at the waterfront. Great fish & chips.

Go hit up the Huskies game v California. Husky Stadium is one of the great college football atmospheres, even if the Huskies aren't really back to national prominence yet.

And if you go to Pike Place, make sure you go to The Confectional - most amazing cheesecakes and Colombian hot chocolates in the world. Can't miss it.

I love living here. Have fun!

Hey all,

I am back and thought I would just post a quick thank you to all who responded.

We ended up doing the priceline thing, and stayed at the hoilday inn downtown for a decent price, plus $10 a night underground parking. The back-up was the Best Western in Pioneer Square (interesting note, Expedia was cheaper for this hotel then their actual site) and we saved a bit via the priceline route, but not as good location.

We checked out "The Alligator" for music, and it was killer. The Seahawks game was low scoring, but rivals any flames game in atmosphere and pure loudness. It was also close to the end which made it good. The Mariners game was of course meaningless, but still a good idea.

Thanks again to all who reccomended ideas and food!
