Wow! So the Oilers now have the 3 best players on the planet? And the best coach?! And the best rookie?! Those guys must be an absolute shoe in to win the presidents trophy! Oh...no? The conference then for sure! Oh, still no? Well they must have absolutely destroyed their division! Hmmm...The NHL must be so rigged that they don't even get any powerplays! Oh, they're 4th for PP opportunities per game?

According to natural stattrick
In 5v5
Oilers are 4th in corsi against/60
9th in fenwick against/60
17th in shots against /60
19th in gaa/60
12th in xgaa/60
8th in scoring chances against/60
4th in high danger scoring chances against /60
Like Calgary, the goaltending has been a drag on the Oilers this season. They'd be 12th in goals against with Skinner's gaa over a whole season and 24th with Campbell's.
Oilers aren't elite defensively like Calgary, but they aren't a tire fire anymore.
