Bluetooth Headphones Suggestions

Just bought the Mpow Magneto, I'll let you know what I think.

I've been using them for just over 3 weeks, so far they work great. I use them with my tablet in bed and the sound quality is great for that purpose. I have ordered another set, the Cheetah this time. For use in the gym. I would recommend them at this time.

Rather than starting a new thread, thought I might throw a question out to any audiophiles on the board:

I am looking to get a pair of headphones, wired OK, so long as the cord is coiled/not going to tangle. Want to avoid any that leak a lot of sound (so closed back), or are over-done/muddy in the bass. Main uses would be music listening, occasional use for gaming. Comfort is a big factor. Being able to fold for travel is also a good feature, but not a deal-breaker

I have been looking at headphones more often used for monitoring, as they have a more flat sound profile - thought about this since I HATE when the bass is over the top and "muddy" sounding. Figured I can always use EQ settings to tweak if need be

ATH40x hands down. You will have to look in the $180 plus range to find something to beat it. My brother owns these and while I prefer my Beyer DT770, but The DT770 are a solid $70 premium over top of these which is a testament to how nice the M40x are. I really don't think you will regret the M40x at that price point. Sound leakage is minimal. Approx $130 on Amazon.ca right now. I don't think it's coil cable, but it is replaceable if you are super adamant about coil cable.

MDR7506 I recall being very comfy, low sound leakage, but you might not like the bass. Bass heavy IIRC.

I also own the HD pro 280. Good entry level cans, but IMO, I'd suggest you pony up and grab the M40x. Excellent pair if you want something cheaper to beat up, but the M40x are durable as hell too. I think you can get them for around $90. TBH I have a pair that collects dust. Once you get better cans, you don't generally go back.

I am a fan of Monoprice's Bluetooth headsets. Not the best on the market, but good for most people. Everyone I know who has owned a pair has liked them.

I just ordered a pair of Nakamichi BTHP06 Bluetooth headphones from EBay for about $65 shipped. All the reviews I've read have said the sound quality rivals much more expensive sets. I'll let you know what I think when I get them.

So I got my Nakamichi BTHP06 Bluetooth headphones last night and here are my initial impressions....

Pros

• very good sound quality
• lightweight
• cheap
• wireless.. Bluetooth easy to set up and works great
• if the battery dies you can connect them via a wire and keep listening
• comfortable - but after a few hours my ears were a little sore.

Cons

• build quality seems a bit weak but I'm generally easy on my belongings so I'm sure it will be fine. And they were cheap so I can't expect too much.
• they are on ear (not over ear) so don't block out as much sound as I'd like when the music isn't on. But when the music is playing I can go on my Concept 2 Rower (which is loud) and not hear the rower.

Overall I'm extremely happy with them. Down the road I will get a pair of Bose QC25 or something like that because I hope to fly to Japan someday and would like a good set of noise cancelling, over ear headphones. But for the $65 shipped I paid I'm very happy with these for using around the house.

I don't mind them. I will have to tinker with the fit though as they're a little loose. It comes with 3 sets of buds and 3 sets of fitting pieces.

For whatever reason, I missed the part where you hold the power button for 5 seconds to pair in the instructions. Took me 5 minutes to find the info online.

They don't seem extremely loud, but I think that's a consequence of the (perhaps) slightly loose fit (I probably chose wrong buds) and the noise canceling attributes of these headphones. I'll have to play with them more.

Not 100% about GWE, but most of us ordered those MPOW headphones off Amazon.

Models: Cheetah, Magneto, Wolverine etc.

Based on a quick search the Magneto are $39 on Amazon right now. $32 for the Wolverines. $23 for the Cheetahs/ $29 for the new version Cheetahs.

Picked up some Magnetos as well - much appreciated. Price actually went down just after ordering, contacted Amazon and immediately gave me further discount. Great service.

Is it possible to connect two sets of headphones via Bluetooth to a TV soundbar? My wife likes the volume much lower than I do and it is a constant battle to find middle ground.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm getting a new Apple TV for the bedroom after selling my Roku. If there's one feature I'd miss it's the headphone jack on the Roku remote, so I picked up the MPows to help with my transition.

Bluetooth can only pair one device at a time
Soundbars only have Bluetooth input and not output
You can buy a Bluetooth splitter and connect it to the source output

My Magneto's are still going strong, even though they stuck (Fataing magnet's how do they work?) to my wheelchair the other night and I ran over one of the ear buds....popped the back off, thought they were destroyed. Popped them back together, they work fine and can't even tell they came apart.
