Yeah Heavy Trip is great. I'm biased, but there's been some great metal movies in recent years.
The Devil's Candy is a good horror movie that dips into metal:
Deathgasm is a really funny horror/comedy along the lines of Todd and the Book of Evil:
Metalhead is a great serious Icelandic drama too:
I even liked Lords of Chaos, the movie about the famous Norweigan black metal scene that involved way-too-serious rivalries, church burnings, and murder.

Last night I watched a war movie about the B-17 Bomber crew, "Memphis Belle". I felt it did a good job of describing the horrors of war and what these young men went through,

Caught Mank last night incredibly beautiful and enjoyable but the casual movie viewer will not have the patience or attention span. Old Hollywood, politics and screenwriting are not what people are interested in, which is too bad. Oldman is incredible and I could stare at Lily Collins and Amanda Seyfried for hours.
Anyone watch Fatman, I really want to watch it because of the premise and a possibly insane performance by Mel Gibson, but my sense is it will be a let down.

I will say as a follow up to my post earlier about Mank that anyone wanting to watch it that hasn’t seen Citizen Kane before should definitely watch that first. Not necessary by any means, but you’ll definitely have a better understanding and appreciation if you are familiar with Citizen Kane.
And Citizen Kane is incredible anyways and should just be mandatory viewing.

I agree, but Citizen Kane must be viewed in context or the impact will not be felt. By context, I mean that people have to watch another film made in the same year to see how revolutionary his storytelling and cinematography were. The industry was changed forever by that film.

Re-watched both Home Alone 1 & 2 over the weekend. Our household needed a bit of a holiday boost with some goofy comedies to tide us over. Not going to bother with 3-5 as everybody knows they suck. But Home Alone 1&2 will always be good holiday classics.

I think the last time I saw that was when it was on 'History on Film' back when History Channel used to do things like that. A documentary about say, B-17 bombing over Europe followed by a movie about it, a bit of compare and contrast.
Oh those were the days.
Might need to give it a re-watch for nostalgia sake.
I'm still pretty much pissed off at the History Channel for going all in on shows like PawnStars and stuff like that. Their military history content used to be great, and the History on Film allowed you to watch a lot of old classics.
To me the Smithsonian channel is better, however needs more content.
