Random TV thought. Which is the better Wade Boggs on TV moment? These both crack me up and are high on the list of favourite scenes from the respective shows.

I watched the pilot for the Saved By The Bell reboot last night and wow. What a hot mess of a show. I don't understand how people think that those 90s shows can be shot in today's age. There always seems to be something inherently off with the tone of the shows.

The only good things about Saved By The Bell are:
Zack Morris is Trash (seriously this YouTube channel is great)
and
Tiffany Amber Theissen.

That's great! I'm not sure why they need a 30 second "review" of their 2 minute summary though. Really guys, I can remember it. I don't need a summary of a summary.
I love that SBTB is considered E/I when it airs on weekends. That show encompasses everything that I love about the politically incorrect 90s but also how it perpetuated a crazy number of damaging and offensive attitudes and stereotypes.
Not that I'm a big Dustin Diamond fan but he's on record as basically outlining how the show and his association with that character ruined his life.
I enjoyed the The Undoing but I have to admit for the entire series I was distracted by Nicole Kidman's face as 50+ year old people aren't supposed to look that good. Watching this show you would think Hugh Grant is at least 15 years older than her but in reality he's only 7 years her senior. She's had some of the best facework I've ever seen.
Botox. Lots of Botox. Her lack of wrinkles and facial expressions was distracting. It was like a life size doll or cgi. Her lips moved but none of the muscles in her face worked.

Oh I get it but she didn't get the exaggerated lips and for some reason to me at least doesn't look terrible like 99% of the females that get this kind of work done. Grant would do well to get the number of her surgeon. He's looking pretty old for 57 with makeup. I can't imagine what he looks like without it.
Grinding my way through Schitt's Creek. Season 2 was a significant upgrade over Season 1, as they clearly decided to give the characters some nuance as opposed to the one note portrayals in season 1.
Now starting season 4 and you can see the show has found it's groove, but for me season 2 still the highlight (maybe because it turned such a corner at that point). The mayor's character is still absolutely the worst thing about it and his role is still far too big IMO. It's too bad because I think there was real potential to subvert expectations and either use Chris Elliott and play him against type (sophisticated, classy etc.) or have a more polished looking actor portray the character as written. As it is, it's like getting hit over the head with a hammer. Like we get the joke already.
Also decided to start Party Down at the recommendation of others on here. What an incredible show. The main cast is hilarious and the guest stars each show (because of the party of the week format) really get a chance to shine. Some big names sprinkled in there and happy to see Molly Parker with a guest spot in the HS reunion episode.
