If you have EPP through work, there's some good discounts as mentioned. Mine is through Rogers, and I switched my daughter over from Freedom. Works out to about $55ish for 20GB+3GB bonus for 2 years, and I got a Huawei tablet for free that I can share the data.

I'm on Koodo. $50 for 13GB.

I've got EPP with Telus but the offers I see aren't too hot. Best is 10GB for $56, or a new iPhone 11 w/10GB for $65/mo on a 2-year plan. The new phone plan might not be too bad, but I really don't need it. I wonder if Telus EPP would have more offers available if you spoke with them? I might try that.

If you are willing to go through the hassle of selling the iPhone 11 you could probably get $600 for it. So that would bring you cost down to about $40 per month for 10 Gig.

I called the Telus EPP line and managed 20GB for $50/month. I straight-out asked them that I see that offer on the internet and was I eligible for it. The rep went away for 5 minutes and then said yes.

The rep did mention that the offer was going away soon, so if my kid wanted in, better make up your mind ASAP. So it's YMMV by now I would say.

I got the same Telus EPP plan, $50/20GB. This was before the end of Oct. It was on their EPP site. I was previously paying $63.75 for the same amount of data and had no issues switching over.

Yeah, I think just over a month ago. My current bill shows 2 different rates.

Yeah...those are closer to numbers I'm looking for. Unfortunately Telus EPP contact hours don't synch well with me. I'm thinking though with sale season coming up, there shouldn't be a problem getting something similar soon enough.

Thanks guys.

It looks like they all have their Black Friday deals out, and they're all pretty much the same (at least for what I was looking for).

Plans might be the same, but they are giving away a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (retails for $1K) w/ the $55 20GB plan... that seems like a pretty good deal.

Looks like the 20GB for $50 is back on again. You will have to call the Telus EPP line and ask it it's applicable to you, so YMMV.

Here's a link discussing it. Offer expires Nov 30.

Bump from long, long ago...

Some "deals" from Fido and Koodo (Black Friday).

$34ish per 30GB/mth.

How is coverage for these providers these days? (ie roaming, etc).

Fido should be identical to Rogers, Koodo with Telus. Some of their plans are throttled to a lower top speed than if you were with Rogers/Telus (that $34 plan would see a top download speed of about 100 Mbps on Koodo for example).

Not sure if 5G is a big deal to people. Fido and Koodo are both run on 4G networks. Something to think about if you're currently on a 5G network switching to 4G.
